Unexpected culinary delights await
The onsen experience was divine, especially the private ones. Our kaiseki dinners were works of art, and the calming atmosphere felt like a retreat.
Limited food options left us wanting more variety. Some staff had trouble communicating in English, making requests a bit challenging.

Beautiful area with hot springs nearby.
My stay was plagued by unhelpful staff and a confusing location. The directions to reach the hotel were incorrect, leading us to a difficult path uphill. Additionally, the language barrier made communication frustrating and stressful throughout our visit.

Loved the snacks and outdoor bath, but limited English made communication tough.

missingWrote a review on 08 Novopen-air bathfree snackslate-night ramendated facilities
The private open-air bath on the balcony feels luxurious, especially with the stunning views of the surrounding trees. Complimentary late-night ramen and snacks provide a nice touch that keeps hunger at bay after a busy day exploring.
The hotel sits in a less convenient area, requiring a walk to the bus stops, which might not suit everyone, especially with larger luggage. The private onsens can become overcrowded, making it challenging to secure time in them, and the overall facilities feel a bit dated, particularly in the older building, which can detract from the experience depending on your room choice.

We stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with an open-air bath, and it was spacious and lovely! The outdoor bath was a highlight, with enough room for two. The view from the balcony overlooking the trees and hills added a nice touch. The beds were comfy, and it felt super cozy, especially during a rainy day. No private bathroom confusion here, as we had our own bathroom and toilet. Overall, just a really nice and relaxing space!

The onsen experience here is wonderful, offering relaxation and beautiful views. Meals have a rich variety, but the dinner service felt a bit rushed and lacked some options. However, the staff's hospitality made up for a few shortcomings, and the private bathing opportunities are fantastic.
